Billing FAQ

Overview

Neelix Consortium subscriptions are highly flexible in order to support any context of a given classroom or group of students, across educational institutions or across external partners.

Billing is based on the model of subscription charge per user within a given consortium. Only users who are permitted to create posts are charged - "Doer", "Advanced", "Administrator". Other collaboration level access users are not billable. User role permissions are explained in more detail here.

Billing Entities

Each Consortium must be associated with at least one billing entity - this can be an organisation paying for users via a corporate credit card, or individuals paying for a private consortium with a personal credit card (more than person can crowd fund the subscription).

It is easy to add additional billing entities to the same consortium. For instance, it may be easier for each parent to pay for their child individually, or for a group of sponsors to fund subscription for the whole school.

Example use cases

Group of friends subscription - one person pays for everyone else
